Craftsmanship

  • Precision Tufting
    • Hand-tufted rugs are crafted using a tufting gun to push fiber loops through a backing. A sturdy foundation called a scrim is applied with adhesive which secures the tufts, followed by a protective backing. After shearing to create the pile, these rugs boast durability, lasting 12 to 20 years in high-traffic areas.

Custom Finishing Options

  • Finishing Options
    • Choose the finishing options that are best for your custom hand-tufted rug.
  • Backing
    • Hand-tufted rugs often have a backing material applied to the underside for stability and durability. This backing can be made of various materials like cotton or synthetic fibers.
  • No show Binding
    • Hand-tufted rugs can be finished with binding around the edges to prevent fraying and give a neat appearance.
  • Serging
    • Some hand-tufted rugs may feature serged edges, where the edges are sewn with a continuous overlocking stitch to prevent fraying and add strength.
