STEP 2

Choosing Colors and Materials

Explore thousands of shades from the pom box and select from premium materials such as wool, silk, and synthetic fibers to create a rug that reflects your style.

STEP 3

Determining Size and Shape

Specify the exact dimensions and shape you desire, from standard sizes to unique shapes tailored to your space.

Craftsmanship

  • Artisanal Technique
    • Before knotting, a specialist drafts the design on graph paper, with each square representing a knot. Once finalized, the design is transferred to the loom where cotton warp threads are tied vertically, and horizontal weft threads are woven to create the rug’s base and edges.

    • Hand-knotting, though slow, permits intricate pattern creation, and in hand-knotted rugs, skilled weavers individually tie each knot, resulting in a unique, one-of-a-kind handmade rug.
  • Quality Materials
    • Our rugs are crafted using the finest materials and traditional techniques, ensuring durability and timeless beauty.
  • Personalized Touch
    • Each rug is made to your specifications, with attention to detail in every knot, making it a true work of art.

Production Process

  • Approval and Sampling
    • Once the design is finalized, a corner sample can be created for your approval at your request, and production begins once you approve.
  • Lead Time
    • Understand the time frame involved, typically ranging from three to seven months depending on size and complexity.

Custom Finishing Options

  • Finishing Options
    • Choose the finishing option that is best for your custom hand-knotted rug.
  • Fringes
    • Fringes are the warp threads that extend beyond the edge of the rug. They can be left as is or trimmed for a neat finish.
  • Serging
    • Some hand-knotted rugs may feature serged edges, where the edges are sewn with a continuous overlocking stitch to prevent fraying and add strength if you prefer your rug with no fringes.
